As proud third generation apple growers on the pristine Granite Belt in Queensland we really do know our apples.
For 70 years our family has grown and nurtured hundreds and thousands of apple trees to produce quality, juicy, crisp apples for generations of Australians.
1949
Family patriarch, Pietro “Peter” Savio, leaves his young wife Paolina and 2 month old son and migrates from northern Italy to Pozieres, near Stanthorpe.
1950
Within a year, Pietro purchases his own 29 acre farm, starts growing apples and is reunited with his wife & son.
1951/62
Pietro and Paolina work very hard & acquire neighbouring land and have three more children.
2017
The Savio family operation is now a 125 hectare orchard with further farming ground available.
2018
The Savio family create a new company Savio Healthy Innovations, to develop healthy apple beverages and snacks.
2020
Three years in development, Savio Healthy Innovations launches its first product, Upple®.
